Led by Maggie Knapp, Head Horticulturalist, Jenkins Arboretum & Gardens. Celebrate the coming of spring with a tour of the ephemeral wildflowers at Jenkins. Spring ephemerals are a special group of woodland wildflowers that bloom before the canopy trees “leaf-out”, to take advantage of early spring’s sunlight before competition begins in earnest. The group includes such beloved plants as trillium, trout lilies, Virginia bluebells, and lady’s slippers to name just a few. Free of Charge.
