The Way Home flanks the front entrance.
This site-specific installation is composed of a 7 panel (15-20 ft.) folding screen (Byoubu). Within this piece, west and east synthesize. The Byoubu flanks initial entry into the house, confronting and enrapturing visitors by a vibrant, complex, colorful display when they least expect it in Shofuso's early summer foliage.
