Container Planting Workshop

Tyler Arboretum

Wed, May 16, 2012, 6:30pm - 7:30pm

Tickets: 0

Lush container gardens bring color and flexibility to your outdoor spaces. On patios, decks, along paths or in the garden itself, containers create sophisticated wow-power with imaginative combinations of plants. Barbara Stremple, whose experience includes serving as a horticultural educator, writer and editor, will discuss different styles of container plantings, the best plants for containers, as well as tips to create and care for a variety of container gardens. Then the fun begins: you provide the container (5-gallon maximum size; make sure there are drainage holes) and we provide a selection of top-rated plants and guidance on planting. Please indicate whether you wish to create a container for sun or shade when registering.

Pre-registration required; $28 members, $35 non-members
