May's theme is "Swallowing the Sun: The Science of Photosynthesis." How do plants get away with out having to find food? They make it themselves! We'll find out how plants do it and along the way we'll learn why leaves are green and why they turn colors in the fall.
Homeschoolers Days is designed for homeschooled children, ages 5-13, with age-appropriate lessons and fun opportunities for group interaction. This event takes place the second Wednesday of every month from 10 - noon. Additional programs available during the year.
Reservations are required. Due to popular demand, in 2012 lessons will be offered at 10 am and then repeated again at 1 pm.
