In the Wet: Plants and Ideas for Waterscape Gardens

Mt. Cuba Center

Sat, May 19, 2012, 1pm - 4pm

Tickets: $30 (Dessert reception included)

Instructor: Judy Glattstein,
Garden and Horticultural Consultant

Join us for a waterscaping lecture and walk around our pond. What is waterscaping and how can you use these principles in your own yard? Discuss the various “shades” of water gardening from open water, to marsh and swamp, to seasonally wet meadow. Learn about plant adaptations to water, choosing the right plants for the right place for sustainability, and the advantages of using natives. Plant combinations and waterscaping design will also be highlighted. Take home a water-loving plant.

Pre-registration is required.
