Birding in the Wissahickon and at Morris Arboretum

Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania

Sat, May 5, 2012, 7:45am - 10:30am

Tickets: Members: $25; Non-members: $30

Join us for a morning of birding in the Wissahickon section of Fairmount Park and at the Morris Arboretum. We will meet at Forbidden Drive and stroll along the beautiful Wissahickon Creek, a hotspot for birding in our area and a beautiful natural environment. In this green corridor we hope to see some of the spring migrants to this area as well as resident and nesting birds. We will finish up at the Morris Arboretum focusing on birds found in the wetland area and in the floodplain meadows. Meet in the Wissahickon section of Fairmount Park at the concrete picnic tables at the intersection of Bells Mill Road and Forbidden Drive. Bring your binoculars.

Location:

100 East Northwestern Avenue

Philaelphia, PA 19118
