Insect Pests of Trees and Shrubs
Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania
Mon, May 7, 2012, 9am - 4pm
Tickets: 135
A Plant Health Care Program (PHC) is designed to recognize issues in advance that may affect the long-term health and aesthetic value of a landscape. The key to any Plant Health Care Program is the correct identification of insect pests, what plants they are likely to affect, and when they will do most of their damage. Plant specimens and a walk through the Arboretum's collection will help students identify actual insect damage to live specimens. Control thresholds for insect pests and management strategies will be discussed. This course carries 5.5 CEUs for ISA certified arborists.
Location:
100 East Northwestern Avenue Philadelphia, PA In the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia
