Bringing the Garden Inside: Cut Flower Arrangements

Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania

Wed, May 16, 2012, 10:30am - 1pm

Tickets: 45 members, $50 non-members

A bouquet of cut flowers from your garden or even the grocery store adds so much to your décor. The key is knowing how to arrange these loose stems when you get them indoors. This class will show you the many tricks of the trade for arranging flowers so that they will look their very best. You will learn techniques such as gridding and stuffing and florist gel will be demonstrated. The basic elements of design will be covered. Cheryl Wilks has been a guest lecturer at the Philadelphia Flower show since 1990 so she really knows her stuff. Please bring a box to take home your creation. All materials are provided by the instructor.

Location:

100 East Northwestern Avenue Philadelphia, PA In the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia
