Lewis W. Barton Arboretum & Nature Preserve at Medford Leas

Medford Leas -- home to the Lewis W. Barton Arboretum and Nature Preserve, is a Quaker-related, not-for-profit community for adults age 55 and older with campuses in Medford and Lumberton, NJ. The community's entire 168-acre Medford campus is designated as an arboretum and features landscaped grounds, courtyard and patio gardens, a pinetum of exotic pines, wildflower meadows, recreational areas, and natural woodlands and wetlands. In addition to the Medford campus, its 88-acre Lumberton campus is an extension of the arboretum, as well. The extraordinary beauty of our unique settings, the myriad opportunities for private gardening, and appreciation of our natural environment are just a few of the many reasons individuals choose to live in our community. The Arboretum is open to the public for tours and also sponsors a variety of special events throughout all seasons. It is maintained by Medford Leas’ Horticulture Department in consultation with the staff of the Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania.
